A Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) is the applicable credential for an individual trained as a remote pilot through a DGCA-authorised Remote Pilot Training Organisation, subject to the applicable regulatory requirements.
DGCA’s training framework specifies requirements covering ground subjects and practical remote-pilot training. The prescribed syllabus includes areas such as air law, airspace, principles of flight, ATC procedures, meteorology, crew resource management, weight and balance, performance, maintenance, risk assessment, emergency procedures, payloads and drone data analysis.
Important: Training and certification are subject to the applicable DGCA rules, requirements and BFC’s current authorised scope.

The Bombay Flying Club is India’s 1st FTO (Flying Training Organisation) to obtain Drone Training Authorisation in 2019 from DGCA to start Drone Trainings at Juhu Airport, Mumbai. Post Drone Rules 2021 officially Authorised RPTO at Dhule Airport was established in 2022 and 2nd RPTO at Igatpuri – Vaitarna Dam in 2024 .
