AME Syllabus

The syllabus of The Bombay Flying Club’s College of Aviation B.Sc. (Aviation) Degree course includes all subjects required to qualify for issue of Commercial Pilots Licence and includes global best practices by international aviation authorities.

AME course is a 2 years course divided in 4 Semesters. The student will be issued with Certificate of Recognition after successful completion of the course.

2 years course implies of 60% Theory and 40% practical (Inhouse and Outsourced training), the practical training also includes 360 hours of hands on practical training carried out in DGCA CAR-145 approved Aircraft Maintenance Organization (e.g. AIR INDIA, GOAIR, SPICE JET, AIRWORKS INDIA, MAX MRO etc) for B 1.1 (AEROPLANE TURBINES) (B1.2 AEROPLANE PISTONS) and (Avionics) B2 categories.

Students are required to pass the semester exams of the Institute along with DGCA Modular Examinations.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Mechanical
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Mechanical Stream is related with AEROPLANE TURBINES & AEROPLANE PISTONS. This is a 2 years course divided into 4 Semesters and consists of theoretical and practical training. Intake capacity of student is 30 per year.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Avionics
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Avionics stream is related to Electrical System (ES), Instrument System (IS) & Radio Navigation System (RN). This is a 2 years course divided into 4 Semesters and consists of theoretical and practical training. Intake capacity of student is 30 per year.

Various projects as given in the T.Y.B.Sc. syllabus will be interactive with experienced Instructors to give students an insight to the finer points of the Aviation Industry. These projects will be updated constantly depending on the requirement of airlines worldwide.

AME Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should pass 10+2 Board exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) & English (in single attempt)
  • OR Three years engineering Diploma in Aeronautics /Mechanical/ Electricals/Electronics stream approved by state Technical Board
  • OR any other Higher qualification in science with PCM & English at the time of admission.
  • Candidate must have secured in HSC a minimum 45% marks (aggregate) for general category candidates and 40% marks for Reserved category candidates for B.Sc. Aeronautics courses.
  • Candidate should produce a medical certificate from an MBBS doctor that he /she does not have any physical disability and colour blindness.

Other Eligibility Criteria

  1. 1. Student must have passed 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English as their subjects with 45% minimum (aggregate) marks for the B.Sc. Aeronautics courses.

The Facilities

The Facilities

We have maintenance facilities, Live Engines, Instruments Workshops – the students get “Hands On” practical experience along with the theory classes, “State of Art”, modern classroom facilities with highly qualified, motivated and experienced instructors.

The Govt. of Maharashtra has allotted us an airport in GONDUR (DHULE), near Nashik, Maharashtra, which is exclusively for our to conduct flying training. The airport has night Flying Facilities, simulated instrument Flying, State of Art classrooms, air-conditioned accommodation with separate hostels for boys and girls, Cafeteria facility, swimming pool, jogging track & gym.

Yes, you can! To be eligible for our AME program, you should have completed 10+2 education (or equivalent) in Science stream, preferably with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Additionally, a valid Class 2 Medical Certificate issued by a DGCA-approved medical examiner is required.
